Our Web App Development Process

01. Information Gathering

The first step is always to gather information. Certain things to consider are:
-What is the purpose of this web application? (Ex: SAAS product, business process automation, etc)
-What problems should this application solve?
-How the application will be used?

02. Wireframes & Prototype

The next step is to document and wireframe the app, to understand future functionalities. We draw detailed sketches of the envisioned app, which helps us uncover any usability issues. Sketching does a lot more than merely tracing steps, it can be a powerful communication and collaboration tool. When we’re done sketching, wireframing will help refine the ideas and arrange all components of the design in the right way. Next, we will create a roadmap or a storyboard, to demonstrate the relationship between each screen and how users will navigate through the app.”


We also build a rapid prototype. You can’t truly comprehend the touch experience unless you can use the app yourself and see how it works and flows. 03. Design

During the design phase, our UX designer plans the interaction between design elements, while the UI designer builds the look and feel of your app. This is a multi-step process with many review stages. Depending on your project scope and app budget, this design phase can be completed in a single afternoon or it can take a team multiple hours.

04. Develop

This is the most well-known step. Once the product requirements document is established, the development phase can start. The goal of the development phase is to create an application that meets the needs identified in the previous steps. Changes will need to be made as the needs generally evolve and new ideas arise. It is generally advised to use a methodology that allows flexibility and proactivity.


With each iteration in Agile methodology, we make sure that development is achieved towards the goals defined in the product requirements document.

05. Testing

In web app development, it’s a good idea to test early and often. We will refer to the original design and planning documents while building the various test cases. The first test is always user acceptance testing, where we discover whether your mobile app works for your intended users or not.


Once your application passes the users acceptance test, you know your solution “works”. You should also make your application available for a beta trial, either through the enrollment of previously identified groups or an open solicitation for participants. 06. Deployment

Once every feature in a given release is validated and all the bugs reported are fixed, the deployment phase can start. This may be a first launch or a deployment of a new release. This is the moment when the web application will run in its real environment.
